The engaging story of Douglas & Rebecca Snelling, the talented father and daughter team behind the brand, needed to be told and was a motivator for the redevelopment of their website. It is the story of a family business that designs & handcrafts honest, down-to-earth, thoughtful pieces from its' rural New Zealand workshop.
The brand's calm, no-nonsense aesthetic references a burgeoning trend in online representations of modern-day craftsmen worldwide, letting the story and the products speak for themselves.
Hardhat redeveloped the Made by Douglas and Bec website and blog, adding an online store for sister company Douglas and Bec, their city boutique (now in two Auckland, NZ, locations). Along with the duo's own designs, the city stores also stock a beautifully curated collection of local and international pieces.
